Support Law Enforcement Ribbon
The way it used to be, officers were your friends. They were at the town picnic sitting on the bench next to you. Kids wanted to grow up to be like their officer hero. People waved at a passing officer (with all fingers thank you) and would say hello as an officer passed. When someone broke the law, they understood that officers were just doing their jobs, and went along. Until the 60s, that meant riding in the front seat chatting with the officer, often without even having to wear cuffs. Today people are so violent and rail so violently against officers that policies had to change. Officers have to protect themselves in order to protect us. Today officers rarely see the support from the public that they so greatly deserve.
Recently there has been an alarming rise in Police being hunted down and murdered just because they wear the uniform. As a citizen, it got me thinking about how we allow a city to be run by the angry and lawless. It seemed like people around here were forgetting about National Police week and didn't know about Project Blue light and blue ribbon campaigns. It is the goal of this site to promote the officers in a good light and rally more support for officers. This site will contain links to leave tributes to fallen officers, Kudos for serving officers and will be the starting point for other chapters which may wish to add their state links here. There is a link to be able to find Law Enforcement Charities to contribute to, and there is a link to purchase police related collectibles if you desire. Please look around and check back as the site is due to grow and offer more as time goes on and more material is shared.
Don't ever forget to support your local Law Enforcement, Federal, State, County or City. They all make our lives more livable by standing that thin blue line between us and lawlessness.
